Before sending an email, below are answers to some commonly asked questions:

ORDERING

PLACING AN ORDER  

Ordering online is fast & easy! Simply set up an account or browse our catalogue as a guest. 

  1. Click "ADD" to place seeds in your cart.
  2. To view your cart, click the "shopping cart icon" on the top right corner of the screen. From here you can adjust how many of each seed packet you would like to purchase using the "adjust quantity" field next to the price. After adjusting quantities, please click "update cart".
  3. After reviewing your order, click "checkout" Use your mouse wheel to scroll to the bottom of your cart if necessary. 
  4. This next screen is where you enter your address. After reviewing your address, click the "Continue to Shipping" button at the bottom of the screen.
  5. This next screen is where you select your preferred shipping method. Please review estimated delivery times before making your selection. When you are ready, click "Continue to Payment".
  6. On the payment screen you will be given the opportunity to use a creditcard, PayPal, e-transfer or cheque. If you have a giftcard or discount code you would like to use, you can enter it in the "giftcard or discount code" field. 
  7. Once you have reviewed your order total & payment information, click "Pay Now".
  8. Upon payment, you will receive an order confirmation email containing your order number & important information about shipping. Now go have fun planning your garden!

*Creating an account is not required, but it does have its perks! You'll be able to look back on previous orders. If you can't remember the name of "that prize-winning _____" that you grew two years ago, all you'll need to do is log-in.

ORDERING OVER THE PHONE

We are not set up to take orders or inquiries over the phone. If you prefer not to pay through the website, it is easy to place your order online without payment & then pay afterwards using a cheque or e-transfer direct from your bank. *We will hold your order until we receive payment.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We do not accept payment over the phone. We DO accept the following:

  • Visa-Debit Cards
  • Pay Pal(You do not need a PayPal account to pay using this service!)
  • Credit Cards (American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover)
  • Digital Wallets(Google Pay, Apple Pay, no crypto yet)
  • E-transfers*
  • Cheque 

Please send all e-transfers to contact@incredibleseeds.ca . We are set-up for auto-deposit & you shouldn't need to create a Q&A. We have noticed that some smaller banks still require Q&As to send e-transfers & if this is the case for you, please contact us immediately with the password information.


Cheque** Please make all cheques payable to The Incredible Seed Company Ltd. All cheques must be issued from an official financial institution on security enhanced paper. We do not accept cheques printed at home. Surprise! Also, don't forget to sign the cheque! ❤

REFUNDS & RETURNS

Our #1 goal with Incredible Seeds is to inspire & support you on your gardening journey! 

We re-ship & refund seed orders all the time & have a "no-questions-asked" order cancellation policy, so long as the seeds have not been shipped. Because every situation is unique & because your needs will differ from someone else's, we do not have a blanket "refund/return policy". ❤

Although we are an online store, we really strive to maintain a " brick & mortar, small shop" feel. Please do not hesitate to send an email if something goes wrong. It is our pleasure to help you out! 

 "DO YOU HAVE A PAPER CATALOGUE?"

Nope. We totally understand the wonderful, Winter pass-time of thumbing through seed catalogues... But, Incredible Seeds is a small, family business & the printing/shipping of paper catalogues would be far too expensive for us. Also, within our business, as well as in our personal lives, we are doing our best to move away from single-use & short term-use items. 

 "I DON'T KNOW IF MY ORDER WENT THROUGH..."

 When you have successfully placed an order, you will receive an automatic order confirmation email. This should happen within the first few minutes after placing your order. 

If you do not see your order confirmation email, please check your spam folder first! ❤

If there's nothing there within 10 minutes, please contact us ASAP so we can complete your seed order. 

 

"CAN I ADD TO / CHANGE AN EXISTING OR COMBINE ORDERS?"

Yes, of course, but you better be quick!   Reach out ASAP using the "Contact Us" field at the bottom of the homepage.

  • Your name & order number
  • If you want to add more seeds, let us know which seed varieties you would like to add & how many of each. We will add these additional packets to your order & send a new invoice for the added items. These will be shipped with your original order & you will not be charged twice for shipping. 
  • If you want to remove seeds or change quantities, let us know those details & we will issue a refund to reflect those changes. 

"HELP! I ENTERED THE WRONG ADDRESS!"

If you do not have an account, please get in touch using the "Contact Us" at the bottom of the home page.

You have an account:

  • Log-in at the top right corner of our website.
  • Select "View Addresses", then on the next screen "Edit Addresses"

 

* This will not update addresses for current, unshipped orders! If you have an order related address change, please contact us directly ASAP! 

"HOW CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?"

Easily!  Use the "Contact Us" field at the bottom of the homepage to send us a quick email with your name & order number. ⬇ (ASAP)

FREE SHIPPING POLICY

We offer Free Lettermail shipping on all orders of $25 or more (excluding large nut tree seeds) and Free Expedited Shipping on all orders of $150 CAD or more before taxes.❤

 

CANADIAN SHIPPING

We use Canada Post for all our shipping needs & offer three different options:

 - Canada Post Lettermail  (ie. "Snail Mail")

  • Flat-Rate $5.95
  • NO TRACKING NUMBER 
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 4 - 14 business days 
  • Not available for large nut tree seeds (see individual product pages for details)

 

- Canada Post Expedited Parcel

  • Custom rate based on your postal code & calculated during the checkout process
  • Tracking Number Included!
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 3 - 7 business days 

 

 - Canada Post Xpresspost Parcel

  • Custom rate based on your postal code & calculated during the checkout process
  • Tracking Number Included!
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 1 - 5 business days 

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Sorry folks; we only ship to addresses within Canada! ❤

To be clear (because there has been confusion in the past), Canada considers the USA to be an international destination! 

 

WASTE-LESS PACKAGING

  • Shipping Envelopes - The envelopes we use are made of 100% recycled paper & padded with shredded newspaper for damage & moisture protection. 
  • Seed Packets - Our seed packets are made of paper, are resealable & include growing instructions.
  • Packing Slip / Receipt - We print at 75% zoom to reduce our paper needs. 

 

 

SHIPPING HICCUPS 

 

MY ORDER HASN’T ARRIVED!

In most cases with some patience, your seeds will arrive. But if they don't, we will investigate what happened & see that you DO receive your seeds! 

Below are our most common "slow or no-show" scenarios & how you can expect each to be dealt with:

 

SLOW DELIVERY - LETTERMAIL

Normally, Canada Post estimates 4 - 14 business days for Lettermail delivery, but these days, it may be a few days more. 

If you selected Lettermail Shipping & have not received your seeds within 14 business days, please do get in touch using the "Contact Us" field at the bottom of the homepage. Business days are Monday - Friday, not including holidays.

We will first verify that the address you provided when you placed your order is correct & complete. 

 

Lettermail does not include a tracking number.

 

SLOW DELIVERY - EXPEDITED / XPRESSPOST

Sometimes when tracking a package, it seems as though the tracking number does not "update" for a number of days. This really does only happen occasionally & our Canada Post rep. has let us know that this happens when mail has been re-routed or held up. To find out about Canada Post service interruptions, click here

 

"I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A TRACKING NUMBER"

Lettermail Shipping does not include a tracking number.

We send out a "shipping confirmation email" as soon as we update an order as "shipped". If you paid for Expedited or Xpresspost shipping, this email will contain your tracking number. If you have not received such an email, it means one of four things:

  • We have not yet shipped your order.
  • The shipping confirmation email has landed in your Spam Folder.
  • The email address you provided contained a typo.
  • The email address you've been watching is different from the one you used during checkout. Oops! ❤

 

"MY TRACKING NUMBER DOESN'T WORK!"

Lettermail Shipping does not include a tracking number.

Most of the time, the tracking number you received does work, but it has not yet been activated. Tracking numbers do not become active until Canada Post has the package in their possession.

  • If we completed your order in the morning (during the week) your tracking number will become active later in the day. (Jan. 1 - April 30)
  • If we completed your order in the evening, your tracking number will become active the following shipping day, afterthe mail has been picked up by Canada Post.
  • If we completed your order on the weekend, or on a holiday, your tracking number will become active the following shipping day, afterthe mail has been picked up by Canada Post.

We've yet to come across a tracking number that doesn't work, but please do reach out if you need some help. You can use the "Contact Us" field at the bottom of the screen. 

"MY TRACKING NUMBER SAYS, "DELIVERED", BUT THERE IS NO PACKAGE..."

This is not common, but it can be very disappointing to track your package only to find your mailbox empty after receiving a "delivery notification".

Don't worry; in most cases your seeds will arrive!

Our Canada Post rep. has advised us to let customers know that it could be 1-3 business days between getting a delivery notice & actually receiving a parcel.

If, after 3 business days, the package still has not arrived, please contact us! We will verify your address & re-ship your seeds free of charge, using the shipping method chosen when you first placed your order.

 

INCORRECT / INCOMPLETE CUSTOMER ADDRESS

Our most common reason for failed delivery is that customers provide an incorrect or incomplete address. We have disabled "address-auto-fill" on our website, but some personal devices can override it.

PLEASE ensure that your address is correct & complete before finishing your purchase! (Remember to include you unit #) ❤

If you notice that an incorrect address was submitted, please contact us ASAP using the "Contact Us" field at the bottom of the homepage.

If an order is sent to the wrong address, we are happy to re-ship your seed order free of charge, using Canada Post's Lettermail service. When folks want their order re-shipped using a faster service (Expedited / Xpresspost), we will send an invoice for that shipping cost, less $5.95 (The cost for Lettermail shipping, covered by us.)

 

ORDER RECEIVED, BUT THERE'S BEEN A MISTAKE...

We have been helping your gardens grow now for over a decade & have eliminated many opportunities where errors might occur. That being said; we're only human! From time to time, mistakes can happen. ❤

If you receive your seeds & find there is a problem with you order, please touch base ASAP using the "Contact Us" field at the bottom of the homepage.

"DO YOU HAVE A WAITING LIST FOR SOLD-OUT VARIETIES?"

We don't have a wait list per se, but if you go to the webpages of the varieties you're looking for, you can sign up to get an email notification when they come back in-stock. 

You'll see a green button on the bottom left of the screen that says, "Email When Available".

Our Tree Seed Catalogue comes out in the Fall & our Spring Catalogue comes out annually on January 1st.

ARE YOUR SEEDS HEIRLOOMS? HYBRIDS? GMO-FREE?

We ONLY offer Heirloom & Open Pollinated varieties! You won't find hybrids or GMO seeds here.

 

DO YOU OFFER BULK / WHOLESALE QUANTITIES?

Currently, Incredible Seeds is geared more towards the home gardener or small-scale market farmer, what we have listed on our website is what we have at the moment.  

If you own a farm stand or gardening shop & would like to carry our seeds, thank you so much for your support, however we don't do wholesale or consignment. ❤
