A new favourite of ours, Yellow Gooseberry Cherry produced small to medium tomatoes, and in abundance! Enjoy enormous harvests of beautifully rounded fruit, big on sweetness! As the fruit ripen you'll notice the ribs on the fruit like a Gooseberry.
The vines reach 6-8 feet tall require support for best yields.
An old heirloom tomato the Yellow Gooseberry Cherry Tomato is believed to originate from the original Yellow Cherry pre-1830's. There are mentions of this variety in Fearing Burr's 'The Field and Garden Guide' in 1865. This rare heirloom variety was later made available by John Hartman and Daughters Seed Company of Indiana in the late 1860's.
