He developed this praised variety, aptly named, Val-aux-Vents Shallots and has been growing it since 2009. The beauty and flavour of these shallots will have everyone talking, bulbs can grow 2” wide (even larger if given ample space), are copper coloured with a complex caramel flavour. Chefs will swoon over the sugar content of these Val-aux-Vents Shallots, making the absolute best caramelized onions. Bulbs can be cured for winter storage.
