Malabar Lemongrass Seeds
(Cymbopogon flexuosus) Annual. 65 days to maturity.
Malabar Lemongrass, also known as Cochin or Malabar Grass, is a very fragrant plant. Growing as a clump-forming grass, its blades have a lovely lemony aroma. Plants are most often used to make lemongrass essential oil or dried for tea and potpourris. Not to be confused with West Indian Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) which is classically used in Southeast Asian cuisine. Malabar Lemongrass does well growing in pots or as a garden border, we love running our hands through its long blades of grass that smell so lemony fresh.
