(Corchorus olitorius) 60-70 days to maturity.
Egyptian Spinach, also known as Molokhia, is an old variety that’s been cultivated since Ancient Egyptian times. A common plant used throughout the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Greens can be eaten raw when young and tender, or stewed in soups. Very high in a long list of beneficial vitamins and minerals. Egyptian Spinach is a member of the Mallow Family (like okra) and will help thicken soups or stew. Their seeds are a beautiful, velvety green. Plants are also used to make jute fiber and rope. Enjoy!
