Bean Seeds, Bush - Early Warwick (Dry)
(Phaseolus vulgaris) 85 days to maturity.
Early Warwick Beans, an English heirloom from the late 1800’s, can tolerate cooler weather surprisingly well. Plants are compact with lilac coloured blooms that turn into long green pods. Dried beans are a rich maroon colour, with swirls of cream coloured spots. Living up to their name, Early Warwick Beans typically mature a week, sometimes even 2 weeks before other dried bean varieties. Beans hold their shape well when cooked, an excellent addition to your favourite chili recipe.
