Good King Henry Seeds

(Blitum bonus-henricus). 80 days. Perennial in zones 3-9. The first and last greens of the year! Good King Henry aka Lincolnshire Spinach and Fat Hen is a perennial green. The 4-5 inch shoots are considered a delicacy. Harvest in spring like asparagus or the full leaves like spinach shortly there after. 

The plants prefer part shade and rich soil and plants should be allow to grow for one season before any harvesting.

Stratification is required although short. 2-4 weeks planted outside while the weather is warming up and the nights are cold in early spring ought to wake the seeds up.
