Pear Seeds - Bartlett - Heirloom Untreated NON-GMO From Canada

Pear Seeds - Bartlett

(Pyrus communis Bartlett) Zones 5 - 7. Heirloom Pear variety, 1700s.

The Bartlett Pear, sometimes known as the William's Pear, is probably the most popular pear here in North America, but did you know you can grow it yourself?

Bartlett Pears are large, firm and juicy. They are great fresh but their firmer texture makes them great for poaching and bottling. If you bottle pears for Winter storage, I highly recommend adding a vanilla bean, star anise and cinnamon to your syrup. YUM!

Bartlett Pears do well when grown in full Sun and loamy soil, although they can tolerate clay soils as well. This pear is also grown as a disease resistant root stock for grafting other pear varieties.

Will need a pollinator to produce fruit.
