GROWING INSTRUCTIONS**Difficult
For best results, sow seeds outdoors in Summer, seeds should germinate in the Spring. Sow in containers, well-draining soil, mulched and in partial shade.
If sowing indoors...
SEED PRETREATMENT: Soak seeds in water for 24 hours. Mix seeds with a moistened grow medium equal to 4x seed volume. Place in a plastic bag, covered tray/cells or container.
STRATIFICATION: After soaking seeds, start 150 days warm/moist (18°C), the top of your fridge is a good spot for this. Monitor for mold. Next, 90 days cold/moist (5°C), in your fridge is a good spot for this. Inspect periodically for even moisture.
POST-STRATIFICATION: Sow stratified seeds 3/8” deep, ideally in a peat/perlite mix. Alternate soil temperatures during the day (30°C) and night (20°C). Water evenly and regularly.
GERMINATION: When all previously mentioned requirements are fulfilled, germination generally occurs in 30-90 days.
