Raspberry Plants - Prelude

(Rubus idaeus 'Prelude') Perennial. Zones 4-8. Early bearing. Thorny.

Prelude, as its name suggests will whet your raspberry appetite and greatly extend your raspberry season!

Extremely vigorous plants will bear lovely, medium-sized raspberries as early as mid-June! Aww... the first berries of Summer!

Prelude Raspberry canes are very cold hardy. They typically fruit in early-Summer, but in milder parts of the country you'll enjoy a less bountiful, secondary crop in September. Bonus!

** To regenerate your raspberry patch, and to keep it under control, cut it down to about 8 inches tall, after the Fall harvest.  We also recommend trimming/mowing the borders of the blackberry patch regularly to prevent unwanted runners.**
