Prairie Star is a French/American hybrid Grape that is extremely cold-hardy and moderately productive. It yields a medium sized, light green grape on long, loose clusters - a wonderful table and juice grape with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity.
The Queen of fruits, the grape has a long history and has been harvested for medicinal and nutritional purposes since Neolithic times. They are known to improve heart health, prevent numerous disorders and ailments, and are high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Grapes ripen in September, and a sweeter after a frost. Prairie Star is self-pollinating, extremely cold-hardy, and has fantastic disease resistance. Prairie Star Grape does best in full sun and prefers well-drained soil, but it is quite adaptable.
