The vigorous Wellington currant produces clusters of large, tangy black berries. Fruits ripen in mid-Summer and are superb for jelly.
Currant grows best in full sun or part shade with moist but well-drained clay loam. Pruning is important, and shoots older than 3 years should be removed to keep the delicious fruit coming!
