Kiwi Vines, Hardy - Anna (Female)
(Actinidia arguta 'Anna') Deciduous. Zones 4-9.
Anna, also known as Ananasnaya is a wonderful, vigorous female Arctic Kiwi cultivar that produces loads of fabulous quality large fruit. It is an excellent beginner kiwi - easy to grow, productive, and beautiful.
Anna’s grape-sized fruit is gorgeous, with smooth, red blush skin and beautiful emerald green flesh - deliciously sweet and tangy with a bright tropical flavour. The vines are quite ornamental, with vibrant red leaf stems. In 3-4 years, Anna’s vines can yield up to 100 pounds of delicious hanging kiwi fruit clusters, ripening later than most in October.
Anna Arctic Kiwi needs a male pollinator, in this case Meader. It will tolerate full sun or part shade and prefers loamy, well-drained soil.
