Romeo is a self-pollinating cultivar similar to Carmine Jewel in that it is highly productive, with very flavourful, deep red-black fruit. Unlike Carmine Jewel, Romeo cherries ripen in late summer, and are larger, sweeter, and juicier.
Large fruit and a high flesh to pit ratio - or more fruit per pound - makes processing these juicy gems a dream. Naturally high sugar levels make Romeo cherries perfect for fresh eating, the best for making juice or wine, and just right for a tart cherry pie!
Dwarf Bush Cherry grows best in full sun and rich, well-drained sandy loam.
