This smaller cherry is perfect for the edible urban yard, where space can be so precious. Crimson Passion is a extra- dwarf cultivar that is less productive than others, but more compact in size, maxing out at about 5 feet. Planted as a hedge, the shorter stature of Crimson Passion makes it easier to manage
It is self-pollinating, producing large clusters of sour cherries that are excellent for fresh eating and processing. What is lacks in yield it makes up for in fruit quality! Cherries are big, sweet, dark red gems ripe and ready to eat in mid August.
Crimson Passion is an awesome edible landscape shrub for the home gardener! It delights the senses with abundant white Spring blossoms, dark green Summer foliage and deep crimson fruit, and stunning yellow leaves in Fall.
Dwarf Bush Cherry grows best in full sun and rich, well-drained sandy loam.
