Growth Habit: Upright, branching growth to 2 feet height; low rosette of leaves, sturdy winged stems with prolific 1” blooms.

Soil Preference: Light, well-drained soil.
When to Plant: Direct seed outdoors after last frost OR start seeds indoors 5-6 weeks before the last frost date.
How to Plant:
Direct sow: sow seeds on soil surface after the last frost. Cover only lightly with soil as seeds need light to germinate. Seeds should germinate in 7-14 days. Thin young plants to 1 foot apart.
Transplant: Sow seeds on soil surface and cover only very lightly with soil, as seeds need light to germinate. Seeds should germinate in 7-14 days. Harden off and transplant after the risk of frost has passed. Space plants 1 foot apart.
When to Harvest: Summer
How to Harvest: Cut when flowers are half open, before the yellow centre is revealed.
Uses: Ammobium is a wonderful cut flower fresh or dried in arrangements.
