Cranberry Seeds, American High Bush Cranberry
(Viburnum trilobum) Zones 2 - 7. Deciduous shrub.
High bush cranberry is a plant I remember from childhood. We had a big bush growing next to my mother's little cedar shingled greenhouse. She didn't know that they were edible so the berries were always left for the birds.
You CAN eat high bush cranberries, and they are actually sweeter than the true, low bush cranberries!
You can eat the berries fresh, cook with them or make preserves.
In the Spring, the bush is covered with showy, white ombrelles.
*Germination rate of 60-80%*
200 days warm moist stratification followed by 60 days cold moist stratification
High Bush Cranberry grows best in loamy soils, but can manage in a variety of locations, so long as they are well draining. Prefers full sun to partial shade.
You will be 100% satisfied with the quality of our High Bush Cranberry seeds, especially if grown in an organic garden.
