This native plant is used as a dye plant by the Hopi people and is catching on with many fiber-arts enthusiasts. Its dark seeds can be harvested as a nutritious, protein rich, gluten-free grain.

Amaranth requires full Sun. 4-20 days for greens,  70 days for flowers  and 115 days for  seed.
